Shiseido has embarked on the process of digitally converting the ‘Takumi’ (artisan skills) of half a million data points. These have been meticulously captured in a comprehensive database and combined with AI technology to enhance the company’s research and development capabilities.

“By leveraging this platform, we aim to accelerate the development of innovative values that cannot be derived solely from human experience, through co-creation with AI. This will enable researchers to focus more on the creative research behind innovations. As a result, we will be able to rapidly deliver quality responses that meet the increasingly diverse needs of consumers and continue to make steady progress towards achieving our 2030 vision of being a global wellness company,” comments Shiseido.
