2023 and 2024 are (again!) two pivotal years for cosmetics regulation. New regulations have been published, others are in the pipeline…
When should you decide to start the process of analysing compliance with a new regulation? How can we ensure that the various regulations work together? These are the anxious questions we ask ourselves every day.

As Head of Regulatory Affairs at Labosphère, it’s my responsibility to keep a constant watch on European and international regulations and to anticipate requests for information from our raw materials suppliers.
Keeping abreast of regulations is all well and good, but knowing when to “switch over” is even better!

For example, I’d like to share with you my current problem regarding the regulation of cosmetic allergens. We all know that the regulations concerning the extended list were published this summer. But what about it?
What about the projects we are in the process of closing? What about new projects? What about the software used to produce the regulatory documents (formula, list of ingredients, etc.)?
And what about our customers? What do you say to : “I limit myself to 26 allergens, in 5 years time I’ll have sold my brand anyway”?
