The"cushion" effect is definitely promised to a beautiful cosmetic future. After foundation and lip balms, he wins the spring make-up and… dethrones the BB cream! Zoom on the softest novelties by Ariane Le Febvre.
The first cushion foundation was born a year ago (Miracle Cushion by Lancôme, 45 €, refill: 35 €, launched in January 2015)! This compact and refillable case consists of an applicator (Lancôme's is made of polyurethane, known for its thermal insulation capacity, in order to preserve the sensation of freshness) and a sponge cushion soaked in tinted fluid, rich in water.
A new application gesture: tap tap tap
The"cushion" offers an unprecedented sensation of freshness, a fresh and clear complexion in the blink of an eye. Barely applied to the epidermis, the evaporation of water and volatile oils immediately causes the skin temperature to drop by 2.3°C. Its mode of application is especially very different. Press the puff on the sponge and dab your face with it. A gentle tap, for a natural look. A strong gesture, for a more sophisticated rendering. On the trail of BB cream, cushion foundation unifies, moisturizes and protects from the sun (SPF 23 for Lancôme). Not very covering at the first application (a veil that looks more like a tinted cream), its texture is infinitely adjustable. Its softness and freshness are particularly sensory!
After Lancôme (which comes back to life with the Cushion Compact, 45 €, in a silver case decorated with a typical Parisian illustration, Collection "From Lancôme with Love", limited edition from January 25th), it's the turn of L'Oréal Paris to offer the cushion foundation: Nude Magic Cushion and Glam Bronze Cushion de Soleil (the first sun cushion !), 19,90 € each, in February.
Sephora will be offering its own from 18 January (Wonderful Cushion, Cushion Foundation and Natural Finish, €19.95), then Givenchy (Teint Couture Cushion, €49, from 25 January). While waiting for Dior's…
The"cushion" effect filled…
The saga of the"cushion" is not about to stop because it can be declined to infinity. After foundation, this fall we saw lip balms (Eos, Sephora), and this spring, he's off to conquer lipsticks. Lancôme is still the first to innovate with Juicy Shaker and its cushion applicator (24,50 €, from January 25th). This last colours, cares for and perfumes the lips (for each shade, a different perfume in coherence with the colour, for example mango perfume for the orange pink, watermelon perfume for the fuchsia, etc.). Its two-phase formula combining pigments and care oils must be shaken, hence the name.
