ECHA publishes CoRAP 2023-2025

On 21 March 2023, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) published the updated Community rolling action plan (CoRAP) for the years 2023, 2024 and 2025. The list includes a total of 24 substances that Member States will evaluate under the REACH Regulation. Seven of them can be used in cosmetics.

The Community rolling action plan (CoRAP) update for the years 2023 - 2025 lists 24 substances suspected of posing a risk to human health or the environment, for evaluation by 12 Member State Competent Authorities.
It contains 6 newly allocated substances and 18 substances already included in the previous CoRAP 2022-2024 update, published on 22 March 2022. For 16 out of these 18 substances, the evaluation year has been postponed, mainly to await submission of new information requested under dossier evaluation.
Out of the 24 substances to be evaluated, 6 are to be evaluated in 2023, 9 in 2024 and 9 in 2025. However, for substances listed for years 2024 and 2025, changes can be introduced in the next CoRAP update in 2024.
The remaining 5 substances of the 27 substances listed in the previous CoRAP 2022-2024 update are withdrawn from CoRAP. For 3 of these substances, the data are already considered sufficient to clarify the initial concerns, while for 2, relevant information has been requested under dossier evaluation processes. These substances can be placed in the CoRAP list again, if after the conclusion of these processes, concerns would remain beyond what can be clarified through dossier evaluation.
