100% of Silab's active ingredients notified to the Chinese NMPA

100 % des actifs de Silab notifiés à la NMPA chinoise

The ingredient supplier Silab has just announced that 100% of its standard active ingredients are now notified on the NMPA platform (the agency in charge of the regulation of drugs, medical devices and cosmetics). This is necessary for cosmetic products containing them to be registered and marketed in China.

In its press release, Silab recalls that in 2020, the Chinese cosmetic regulation has evolved with the implementation of the new Cosmetic supervision and administration regulation (CSAR). On January 1st, 2021, the CSAR became effective and ingredient suppliers are now required to notify on the NMPA platform all their products listed in the 2021 Inventory of existing cosmetic ingredients in China (IECIC).

As soon as the Cosmetic Ingredients section of the Chinese platform opens on 31 December 2021, SILAB has notified its entire catalogue of standard active ingredients, forming a complete range of more than 100 references, covering all the major themes of skin and hair care (as distinct from the exclusive active ingredients developed for the specific needs of its clients).
This ensures that Silab’s customers can register their products on the Chinese market within the required deadline, with the NMPA codes of the ingredients present in their formulas.
