The information has been released just after summertime: the French Salon de la Beauté 2012 is postponed. A proof that the crisis is also felt by the cosmetic world, as many exhibitors preferred not to incur costs for a booth in this exhibition, even if this means missing an opportunity to meet the public at large.
Its second edition was to be held from October 19 to 21 in Paris. A press release from the organizing committee let it know that it is postponed.
The reason?
“Most of the exhibitors or of the would-be exhibitors put forward increased difficulties, due to
the extremely harsh economic climate that everyone knows.”
Thus, the organizers have come to the conclusion it would be more convenient to stall and to go to a biennial periodicity: the next edition will be held in fall 2013, still in Paris.
The first edition of the Salon de la Beauté, dedicated to beauty treatment and well-being, opened to the public at large, has had more than sixty exhibitors welcome almost six thousands visitors.
This “wait-and-see attitude” by the cosmetic brands does not affect professional exhibitions: the 2013 Mondial Spa and Beauté will be held, for sure, from March 9 to 11, 2013; it will even be larger than in the previous editions, and will move from the Palais des Congrès to the Grande Halle de La Villette, in N-E Paris.
