U'Cosmetics: a plunge into innovation

It was the 5th edition of the U'Cosmetics contest. 11 teams of students were in the final, to present their cosmetic project. A concept, a formula, a product, and just four months to finalize the whole with two constraints: innovation and the theme of water. On March 20, four awards were presented. A refreshing splash into what may be our cosmetics of tomorrow.

On the calendar, March 20 was Spring Day, a symbol of renewal. At Guingamp, the air was soft and the sun was shining, and if the water was falling, it wasn't from the sky, but in the formulas and floods of ideas presented by the finalists of the U'Cosmetics contest.

Organised for the 5th consecutive year by the UCO (Université Catholique de l'Ouest), it was attended by 23 teams of students from 9 universities, institutes and schools throughout France. 11 projects had been selected for the grand finale, in 2 categories: formulation and marketing. In the margin of the day of conferences on the theme of water, and after deliberations of the jury, the verdict fell.
