According to the latest report published by the NPD forecasting agency, the online cosmetics business is doing well and the trend should continue over time. Specialized websites, beauty subscriptions/boxes and homemade skincare are achieving double digit growth in France.

The occasional closure of so-called non-essential stores in France has put a strain on the economy of the beauty sector. However, consumer loyalty has been there. They have massively turned to the Internet to continue to buy skincare products.

Sites specializing in cosmetics have seen their sales rise by 43% between February 2020 and February 2021. “Players such as Beauté privée, Notino and Lookfantastic have managed to develop their customer base, making their sales figures take off.
