DGCCRF controls: the announced topics
• • Claims: Controls will be continued on value-adding claims, with a stronger focus on environmental claims.
• Nanomaterials : Whatever the applicable definition, there will be a focus on compliance with particle size thresholds and on the use of unauthorised nanomaterials, particularly dyes.
• Sunscreens: the controls will cover all points of the regulation of sunscreen products (nanomaterials, claims, but also sun protection factors, PIF…).
• Product Information File: This investigation aims in particular to take into account some of the recurrent findings of the DGCCRF, all themes taken together, which point to numerous non-compliances of the PIF with the regulations.

Expected during the year
Although the exact dates are not yet known, several regulatory publications are planned.
• The EU Regulation on extended allergen labelling has already been notified to the WTO and is expected to be adopted in spring.
• The proposed text for the revision of the Cosmetics Regulation, which was supposed to be published at the end of 2022, should in fact be known in the first quarter, …
