Peclers , a consulting agency on trends, style, and vision forecasts, has just published its first beauty book. Unveiled last April, the autumn 2015-winter 2016 edition predicts aesthetic choices through colours, textures, ingredients, rituals, and methods. It covers all the aspects of the market (skin and hair treatments, packaging, ingredients, fragrances) by unveiling eight key trends that are then broken down into six creative concepts. Examples below with four seasonal trends followed by two detailed beauty concepts.

Living beauty

Unlike the pervading fascination with perfect physical beauty and the omnipresence of the ‘cult of youth’, the aspiration for epicurean, laid-back beauty has begun to take hold as a major phenomenon. In the West, the baby boomer generation is taking an ultra-positive stance on age and ageing, which is gaining in momentum due to the ever-growing interest in body/mind harmony. This, in turn, is related to the influence of Eastern philosophies. Original expressions celebrate quality time with oneself and care rituals, inner radiance, and vital joy and energy.
