Cosmetics and marketing in these digital times

How can the Internet resources be used in order to support the development, then, the launch of a new cosmetic product, active ingredient or service? How to use the social networks, the open innovation communities, wikis, the blogosphere … to sum it up: the web 2.0, to their maximum advantage? This was the topic of the lecture by Anne Canet-Charpentier, during the 29th Morning Meeting of Cosmetics, held on 25 October 2012.

The Morning Meetings of Cosmetics, organized by Sylvain-Romain Cotte ( SRC Consulting ) gather professionals of the cosmetic world every month, to share a breakfast and attend conferences on a topical subject.
For this session, he invited Anne Canet-Charpentier, from Attraction Conseil, a consultancy company, to unveil the secrets of the interactive web and to highlight all the resources it makes available to the actors of the new marketing in cosmetics.

The new web era

“Down with the classic Internet, the prehistoric ancestor in which the Internet user had only a passive role,” was the introduction of the Anne Canet-Charpentier’s lecture. “The paradigm has changed. Nowadays, the Internet is an interactive means of resources and exchanges, through which permanent links exist between the offer and the final customer.”
One must change one’s wording, and learn about the web 2.0, digital marketing, e-marketing notions … further, get accustomed to the new tools such as the community marketing, wikis, the blogosphere and the microblogging, social networks, shared videos and PDFs, open or closed groups, aggregators, open innovation communities …
