Eco-design in the agenda of the 2013 U'Cosmetics event

The fourth U’Cosmetics will be held in Guingamp (Brittany, France) on 21 March 2013. Both a Convention and a contest for students about Cosmetic Formulation and Innovation, this year, this event’s theme is eco-design: a trendy approach to design and formulate a cosmetic product by other means.

Eco-design Convention

Eco-design takes into account the environmental impacts while designing and developing a product and put them in its whole life cycle: from the raw material to the end of life, including its manufacturing and use.

The lecturers, who are experts in formulation, raw materials, packaging and marketing, will explain how to “think the product” from A to Z (ingredients, formulation, process, packaging), and how to get a competitive benefit.

• Eco Design: the keys for success, by Fabien Bouton, Designer Eco-conception - Evea Conseil
• Biotechnologies to develop innovative active ingredients, by Florent Yvergnaux, Scientific Director – Solabia
• Tomorrow tools for a white formulation, by  Vincent Bourgeteau, President – Ephyla
• Marketing impact of eco-designed packaging, by Claire Certenais, consultant - Cegma Topo
A roundtable discussion, moderated by Jean-Claude Le Joliff, will end the cycle.
