On 23 June, the FEBEA is organising a new conference on the theme of cosmetic advertising and claims. It is true that deadlines in this area are approaching, and that every word counts. The title: quite explicit, of this meeting: Cosmetic advertising and creativity: a fragile alliance.
By 11 July 2016, the FEBEA recalls, the European Commission will submit to the European Parliament a report on the use of cosmetic product claims on the basis of common criteria. There is a risk that this report will lead to a restriction of advertising freedoms.
The industry must therefore prepare itself: on 23 June 2014, the FEBEA will bring together the regulatory, marketing and general management departments to raise awareness of this risk.
On the agenda
- Between Dream and Reality: A Consumer's Perspective on Current Claims - how to avoid claims that turn a cosmetic product into a drug or medical device, - a review of deceptive allegations, - a world tour of advertising rules (Germany, North America, Korea…), - the experience of the food industry, which is subject to a priori advertising controls - and finally, a few tips to help you get organized.
Avoid the pitfalls, resist the temptation… to speak at the frontiers of reality and be consistent until the end of labelling: a message addressed directly to the main players in cosmetic advertising, since registration is free for any marketing person accompanying a regulatory person.
Rates
- FEBEA members: 114 euros (95 euros HT) …
