U'Cosmetics 2015 competition: Nominees, the complete list!

The 6th edition of the U'cosmetics student competition, organised by the UCO Bretagne nord, the Anticipa technopole and Cosmed grand ouest, will take place in Guingamp on 12 March 2015. Laëtitia Têtedoux, president of the U'cosmetics 2015 Jury, has just revealed the list of the 10 projects nominated for the competition. The 2015 vintage, placed under the sign of marine cosmetics, promises to be particularly innovative.

The teams of students in competition drew on the whole palette of the sea: active, seaweed, sea water, sand, active pearl oyster, corals, jellyfish, plankton, marine sponge… Among the 22 competing projects, four strong trends appear: • The textures products: skimmings, foams, products to rehydrate…, • Alginate beads Finger-operated: which burst under the pressure of the fingers releasing active ingredients, - The new assets Solar oils without chemical filter, formulated from seaweed oils…, • The imaginary Marketing concepts positioned on the Seas of the World, the 7 deadly sins, the Odyssey…

The 10 nominated projects

Best product innovation - Calypsea Rennes I : Shivering scrub and cleansing and massaging shower foam, formulated with marine ingredients (exfoliating lithotamne, antioxidant pink marine pigment…). • MousSea UCO : Moisturizing and detoxifying foam, reminiscent of marine foam and using an original active ingredient, sea sponge extract. - Bio'Spherine Mulhouse School of Chemistry: Toothpaste formulated in the form of beads arranged in a transparent, sober and elegant spherical packaging. Product can be used in all mobility situations. - Foam Treasures UCO : Biphase hair care, whose aqueous phase is made up of desalinated sea water and containing trace elements and red algae. - My Sailor …
