Forecasting firm Trendalyctics has just published its predictions for the coming year. On the agenda: sweet fragrances, rituals designed to make you feel good, and the rise of connected beauty devices.
Trendalyctics has identified two strong trends for 2025. “For the coming year, balance is our key word: trends lie at the intersection of the holistic, drawing inspiration from the powerful remedies and ingredients of centuries past,” explains the agency.
Feminine Touch
This season, ultra-femininity is exploding. “Consumers are looking to celebrate their ‘divine feminine’.”
In concrete terms, this trend is illustrated by a return to a rosy complexion “while lip products seek to strike a balance between shine, without stickiness, and hydration. Colored eyeshadows are not in the spotlight, but voluminous lashes are the order of the day.”
Trendalyctics explains that smoky make-up (in a more refined version) is also making a comeback.
As for hair, it’s all about sophistication and casualness. Trendalyctics invites us to draw inspiration from Jane Birkin’s youthful looks.
Finally, to celebrate femininity, sweet and vanilla fragrances are given pride of place.
