What beauty mistakes Millenials made?

In love, as in cosmetics, we sometimes have regrets. LaserAway, an American aesthetic medicine company, asked members of Generation Y (individuals aged 30 to 42) to list the bad habits they had when they were younger.

The survey was conducted among 1,003 Americans (43% female, 55% male, 2% non-binary) between April 24-25, 2023.

Past habits left a bitter taste to the panelists. 49% of them explain having had a bad lifestyle during their young years.

They regret the fact:
• not having invested in quality cosmetics,
• having eaten too much junk food,
• not having slept enough,
• not having drunk enough water,
• not having done enough sport.

Respondents say this unsavory lifestyle has had a direct impact on the condition of their skin. They are even 12% to consider that certain effects are irremediable.

LaserAway has listed Millennial regrets by category. Here are the results in order.

Skin care
Respondents complain that:
• not having used well-made cosmetics,
• not having used moisturizing products,
• not taking care of their lips,
• having plucked their eyebrows too much,
• not having taken care of their eye area.

Hair and makeup
Respondents wished they hadn't:
• wash their hair too much,
• ignore treatments that protect against heat,
• bleach their hair,
• go to bed without removing make-up,
• use heated styling tools.

Body care
Millennials regret:
