L'Oréal cuts costs across the Channel

BBC website news: the L'Oréal group is to divest its Talbot Green plant in the UK, cutting 200 jobs.

According to the British television channel, the site will continue to manufacture L'Oréal haircare products for the British market, but its buyer is set to cut 200 jobs (out of 260). Asked by the BBC, L'Oréal said the decision had nothing to do with the economic slowdown and was due to the cost of importing raw materials and shipping finished products.
