Agency representatives came to present them at the 11th edition of the Cosmetic Valley Perfumes and Cosmetics Conference. And the welcome was not the warmest..;
In the absence of Brigitte Heuls, Director of the DMTCOS (Direction des dispositifs médicaux thérapeutiques et des cosmétiques de l'ANSM) selected in Paris, it was Thierry Thomas, Head of the market surveillance inspection unit, who came to confront the congress participants from Chartres. The programme of his speech included a few points to date and two announcements that sparked some heated debate.
The Cosmetics Interface Committee
Thierry Thomas first reviewed the interface committees created following the overhaul of the Afssaps into ANSM. He recalled the principle ("ensure regular and constructive exchanges on general issues, in compliance with ANSM transparency rules, between the Agency and industry representatives") and the missions:
identification of priority subjects for establishing a work programme,
- proposal of measures to increase security proposal of measures to implement dematerialised and secure information exchanges between the parties.
During the first meeting of the Cosmetics Interface Committee, four working groups were created.
Group 1"Industrial practices": placed under the inspection management, its field of competence includes the declaration of establishment and the implementation of GMP.
Group 2"Modalities of interaction between professional organisations and ANSM, outside the scope of inspection": placed with DMTCOS, it deals with the exchange of information …
