Coverpla sees life in green

Coverpla voit la vie en vert

At a time when all cosmetic brands are seeking to reduce their impact on nature, Coverpla, a company specializing in the design of packaging for the cosmetics industry, reaffirms its commitment to ecoresponsibility. On the occasion of the Luxe Pack Monaco trade show, the Nice-based company reminds us of its fervor to bring to market ever more sustainable solutions.

Coverpla has a well-defined CSR strategy and has been doing so for several years. The company’s ambition is to :
• Achieve carbon neutrality by 2025
• Reduce its carbon emissions by 3% each year
• Manage its waste and energy consumption
• Reduce its waste
• Commit to biodiversity
• Reduce transportation.

“For our future developments, we are surrounding ourselves with European partners. Tomorrow’s topics include the growing share of new generation materials (from recycling, biosourced, biodegradable…). The objective is clear, the green attitude is making its way,” says Coverpla.

Thus, the group is thinking about the design of a monomaterial cover or with a removable insert in order to separate the two parts and make recycling possible. It has just designed an “exclusive hood model made of FSC wood with a compressed cork insert, or a PP part with an insert that can be easily removed by the consumer for recycling.” In addition, the group has also developed a new mold that allows for the production of a 100% biodegradable, bio-based hood.

The packaging supplier has also just announced its collaboration with two perfume houses. Coverpla has joined forces with Cristian Cavagna to design the bottle …
