Consommation : les étudiants sont toujours autant en difficulté

The survey was conducted among a sample of 812 people and 910 beneficiaries of the COP1 association.
The interviews were conducted between 15 May and 5 July 2024.

50% of respondents say they are putting the brakes on their leisure activities. 42% (63% for COP1 beneficiaries) restrict their consumption of hygiene and cosmetic products.

Lack of money is even leading some students to forego gynaecological treatment (41%).
37% of COP1 beneficiaries said they did not have enough menstrual protection (pads, tampons). “This situation highlights the urgent need to rethink and step up efforts to combat menstrual insecurity among female students effectively,” comments IFOP.

Financial pressure = mental pressure

Lack of means makes 71% of the panel fear that they will not make it through the month.
44% of those surveyed are afraid of falling into poverty. Faced with this situation, 70% of respondents say they feel alone and 64% have negative emotions. Only 15% of the sample felt happy.
