As soon as spring arrives, we wait for the first gentle rays of sunshine to hit the café terraces, waiting for those better days of midsummer when we can finally enjoy its warm caress on the beach again. But beware! Even the best sun cream is not enough to protect you from the harmful effects of UV rays. It is important to use it correctly and to use it in moderation.

You have recommended the best cream. Does your client think he is ready for a carefree summer?
Not so fast! A good cream is good, but it’s not enough. The proof is in this little True/False reminder of the basic precautions to take in the sun. There’s no question of going out in the sun before you’ve got all the really good habits in mind!

A good cream is enough to be protected: FAKE!

No protection is 100% effective: there is no such thing as a truly total screen and this term is now prohibited by the regulations. Even the highest levels of protection do not allow for overly prolonged exposure.

As a reminder: a protection factor of 10 means that the theoretical exposure time before the first sunburn is 10 times longer than normal. If your skin reacts naturally to UV rays in 5 minutes, this would mean that you could expose yourself for 50 minutes without damage. This is a very random calculation, as every skin reacts differently. Do you know whether your skin can withstand 4 minutes of sunlight or 6 or 15 without blushing?
