Fasting therapy for your skin?

Fasting therapies are not only good for your body. Your skin can also greatly benefit from both a regular “cosmetic diet” and the total absence of any manipulation. A complete rest, is all that is on the agenda. Here are a few explanations…

The “no poo” trend already existed (i.e. not washing your hair anymore, “poo” being the short for “shampoo”), but your skin also needs some days off to regain a whole ecosystem and “wipe the slate clean”! A bit like a reset programme.

The skin does not always need to rely on cosmetics. As a matter of fact, it is always the same story: the more you get your skin used to creams, especially to fats, the more you create a need for comfort, and the more your skin will ask for it. This is true for the body, but also for the face, lips or hands. Women who constantly apply (several times a day) balm on their lips thus create an addiction to lipids. They wrongly believe – of course feelings are eminently subjective – they cannot do without it, in particular in winter.
