One Voice

One Voice

Seal of approval awarded and controlled by One Voice, a French association working to promote the rights of animals in laboratories or in the wild, circus, and farm animals or pets.

Reading time
~ 2 minutes

This seal is the proof that the manufacturer has not performed, financed or accepted any test on animals either during the entirety of the manufacturing process of the product, or on the ingredients, which make it. It also bans animal extracts or substances, except for honey,  pollen and beeswax, and requires that ingredients be organic.

In 2012, One Voice has launched a second certification level, with the Blue logo, which certifies non-animal tested products and without any ingredient from animal origin (except for organic honey, pollen and beeswax), but which does not require the organic certification. This is designed to allow more brands for the getting of the One Voice logo.

In order to display the logo on a product label, it is necessary to make a request to One Voice, to provide a file that comprises the certificates of non-animal tests from the suppliers of all its raw materials (no exception is accepted), then to be audited by a certification body, which controls the accuracy and completeness of these documents; the whole process may take one to two years.

These seals may be displayed on cosmetics labels and also on other types of product, such as food, clothes, household products, gardening specialties, etc.
On cosmetic products, they are to replace the previous logo, the Leaping Bunny .
